Darryl's Diner OPEN - Pinellas Plaza

Attachment 53186Great news! The long awaited opening of Darryl's Diner in the Pinellas Plaza is a reality. I've eaten breakfast and lunch there this week and both were very good - including the splurge of homemade Red Velvet cake. Big slice for $3.00. It is so refreshing to have something different and economically priced to choose from. Their hours are 6am till 3pm daily and you can get breakfast or lunch during these hours. I ran into the owner, Darryl, there and he was very cordial. As I understand it, he is a big fan of rescue and an animal lover. There was a bowl of water outside for the doggies...

Welcome to The Villages Darryl's Diner!!:BigApplause:

Actually it has been open for well over a month. :). If you look in the restaurant threads you'll see a reference on 4/26 to Darryl's in Pinellas Plaza being open. And if I recall that was the soft opening. The official opening was around 5/11. If my math is right that qualifies as "months."

Been there and will be back.

Not like a New Jersey Dinner. Small portions, Expensive for what you get.

Birddawg - Do you mean that NJ Diners have small portions and are expensive or that Darrells has small portions and are expensive?

Stoonard- figger it out-Darrels small portions and lots $$ for the free lunch crowd--you get what you pay for-kinda of remind of customers ,I knew I said I'll do for nothing--their response--was too much!!
