Had a great time at Crispers

So many people at the meeting! Great to see so many new people!

Looking forward to coming to one of these in the Fall when we get back to finish moving in. What goes on at them anyway? Are there any activities to help newbies get to know people?

It was the largest turnout I've seen. It was a great time talking with friends and meeting new people.

Did anyone get a head count?

Gracie mentioned that she thought the headcount was over 40.
That's an excellent turnout, especially for July when a lot of folks are away.
I hope the monthly meetings increase in popularity. It's a good way to make new friends.

I was debating on coming but one of these times I will be back. I still have not met Graciegirl. :bigbow: I do not believe I have been to one of these since around 2012 or so? I had gone to several back in 2007 and 2008.

I will try to make the next one.. from the pics I noticed no name tags??? I think it would be beneficial to have our posting name on them so we can tell who is who !!!!

Good idea. If we all bring them, we will have more than enough. It was VERY HOT outside and we stayed inside, but that was not conducive to the big circle of chairs we usually make on the patio which allows for easier communication.

It was so nice to meet so many new folks. There were many there from Illinois and New Jersey, and we had fun with that. I think TWO new residents had each purchased one of the newly built homes in the historic area. A couple was visiting The Villages for the first time from Europe too. Some folks who hadn't been there for several years showed up. The folks that I recognized were DonH, Baileys Mom, CQuick, 2BNTV, Eileeny, Susu, Dillywho, Tippyclub, DougB, TammyJ, Helene and Gypsygirl. The rest were warm and friendly folks with quick smiles and we hope they will return again.

Back in the day that I went to these, KathieI would often hand out the name tags. These were just stickers that you put you name on and then attached to your shirt or blouse.

KathieI even showed up at Doggie Doo Run Run one day without a pooch.

Anyone who wants to meet me, I am at Doggie Doo Run Run just about every day but the time varies quite a bit. I have Beau now but started going to Doggie Doo Run Run with Sport in January of 2007.

I apologize there were no name tags at this meeting. I totally forgot to pick some up. We always usually have them.
