Curious?
I am a 9 1/2 year Villager that lives near Lopez Legacy GC. I have frequented their practice facility during that 9 1/2 years. I have enjoyed being able to hit off grass on their range and for the most part it has been in decent condition. My question is regarding the sand trap practice area to the rioght of the practice ball dispensing shack and the teaching academy. This area is ALWAYS closed except for, I assume, lessons from the academy. In my 9 1/2 years and probably 100's of practice sessions I have yet to see this area in use. There is a practice trap at the back of the range, by the walking path, that is not in good shape, and inconvenient to go to, especially during warm-up prior to a round. Could not the trap practice area by the range be available for the residents? The "PRACTICE AREA CLOSED SIGN" could easily be amended to state "AREA IS RESERVED FOR LESSON at 2:15 (or whatever time necessary), and then re-open to general practice thereafter? We have so few sand practice areas to accommodate, why leave this convenient area "CLOSED" most of the daylight hours?
