Premier vs Designer
 

What is the basic price difference between a Premier Home and a Designer? We are considering buying a home that the listing company insists is a Premier, but, according to the appraiser's office and the floor plan list, is a Designer. It is an older home and the model is Cordoba. We feel that the home is overpriced, and think part of that is the fact that they have it listed as a Premier.

Interesting that you noticed that. I will be more observant when I am looking at the homes. Which takes precednt , the realtor or the appraiser?

If you are getting a mortgage it's the bank appraiser. No offense to any former realtors but basically they are sales people.

There was someone that listed there designer patio villa. Premier houses are certain models. Lyle gant has breakdown of all models on his site

I guess they could have been using the word "designer" as an adjective rather than a noun.

If this listing broker is also your sales agent I would find another. If they lie about this, why would they not lie about something else that's a real issue ?

The model in question (Cordoba) is a Town House. Located in Spanish Springs at the rear of the movie and hotel parking lot. The area is "The Spanish Springs Villas" Town houses grouped 4 or 5 to a building. Some are 2 stories, some are 3 stories. Who would want stairs at our age? :ohdear:

Besides amenity fee, I think they have some sort of home owner association with fees. They have common maintenance and landscaping.

There is usually a den or loft in these units. I love the courtyard and the tile roofs you have your own pool in the center. But downfall is that tiny garage. Some of them have close to 3000sf. They run in the $300,000 and up price has been in that range since 2010 when we looked

I don't think we are on the same page..... where is the pool? The courtyards are nice, but small. I don't think big enough for a pool. Most don't have tile roofs. :)
