Where to volunteer here in the villages
 

Any thoughts for someone with a nursing background where they might volunteer here in The Villages. I am open to all areas of volunteering.

Omigosh, The Villages Hospital needs volunteers desperately, for when the rest of the additions opens-soon!!

Check with some local churches. Many do blood pressure screenings for their members on a regular basis.

I am not sure if the Villages Hospital would let a volunteer have any hands on medical duties with a patient. Lots of liability issues.

I volunteer at the Christian Food Pantry in Lady Lake one day a week. Nothing medical of course but we always could use volunteers. We.give out groceries to underprivileged people. On the average, we take care of about 430 families each month. Lots of poverty just outside The Villages.
