New Home Contract
 

I was looking through all my paperwork and realize I have no paperwork from the closing on my house. I can't remember what was supposed to happen after signing all the contracts. Does The Villages hold everything or were they supposed to send it to me?

When did you sign?

If you closed, you should gave received a copy of the papers you signed I believe we received a folder with everything in it

It was 5 years ago. Who would I contact for copys of my contract and deed.

Probably the company that did the closing. Was it McLin Burnsed?

I always ask in writing for all paperwork I will be asked to sign at closing. It can have blanks for numbers that are not know. I tell them if I do not get the paperwork I will need time to read and review at closing so they should schedule enough time. This has work pretty well. I am assuming you have not purchased the house yet as you would have received the closing statement that ends with the amount your check has to be. Likewise they They have to know the numbers before closing so you bring the correct amount of money to closing.
