I know it's early but get your picks in for week 1 over the next 2-3 weeks before the season starts.. Wanted to give everyone plenty of time as last year on short notice we had around 75 people!! Bet we double or triple it this time!!

I think I lasted almost to the end? A few weeks before it was all over anyway.

If memory serves me well (sketchy at best) I made it to the semi-finals and then lost out on the big bucks via a tie pick. As the years pass on I'll probably have been in the finals and lost on a last second trick play which included a drop kick to tie it up :icon_wink:

I often felt like picking the team my 2nd or 3rd cousin in on as General Manager. But, I could not do it most of the time. He was the General Manager of the NY Jets. Now he is a consultant with the Jaguars for caps on player salaries. I never met him but he did live about 1/10 of a mile from us when we lived in Palm Harbor and he worked for the Tampa Bay Bucs. He then went to the AZ Cardinals, then to the Seattle Seahawks before going to become the General Manager of the Jets. This is John Idzik, Jr. I did run into his wife and kids when out with my nieces and nephew at a park about 200 feet from where they lived. They were in a much nicer neighborhood than we were in but ours was still not bad as far as Palm Harbor goes.

I may pick against the Jaguars soon but that seems like something like a give me. A lot of people seem to be going with the Panthers for the First Week of the NFL Season.

I have set up the status list for week one with all of the members that have signed up. If you want, you can check and see if your name is on the list. No teams will be listed. The teams that you picked will be listed in the spreadsheet thread soon after the Week1 thread closes at 8 PM on 9/10.

If you decide to change the team you picked for the week, please do not edit and change your original post. Post a new entry with the changed team. It makes it easier for me to keep track of changes.

Are you having a problem posting in the Week1 thread?

A couple members have asked me to put their pick in for them. I cannot do that. You have to put the pick into the week1 thread so that we know that you are a member. If you are having problems accessing the Week 1 thread, please let me know asap and let me know what problem you are having.

You need to go to the Week 1 Link: SIGN UP HERE!! Week1 � First Game - 9/10 8:30pm EST - Deadline Entry Time - 8pm EST

and go to the bottom and click on Post Reply and enter your pick.

Also, if your pick is NOT one of the 32 NFL teams, I will not include you in the status list or the spreadsheet. I have sent PMs to both members that put invalid names and have not seen a new post with a real team.
