I did this last year but am doing platelets instead so cannot do this again in 2015 and am not eligible to donate whole blood until late September 2015.

I have been picking up some different T-shirts by donating platelets but will unfortunately miss out on the Parrothead one. :cry:

I should get a Loud Boy Group one though if I am still healthy and wise. Their blood drive is next month.

Does anybody how many donors attended? I was at the Oneblood Center donating Platelets and there were very few whole blood donors there.

One of the OneBlood people said this was there slow season. I have not seen many other people there while donating platelets three or four times over the past two months or so.

Maybe, The Villages Daily Sun will have something about this 9/11 drive today or tomorrow?

My allergies have been pretty bad this week. I was coughing a bit while under the needles during my 114 minute platelet donation. Some of the OneBlood workers were worried I was coming down with a cold or worse the flu.

I cannot take allergy medicine before driving as it makes me drowsy so that was not an option before donating.

KathieI, I hope you make the 10-10-2015 Loud Boys Group's Blood Drive. I believe it is at Seabreeze Recreation Center.
