Not a problem to ignor or try to alieviate on the cheap. I would recommend seeing a good family practice physician and ask for referal to Neurosurgeon. No sense messing around with Pseudo medicos who claim to cure everything by manipulation. Some people recommend orthopedic surgeons or physical therapists. I would take such advice if the neurosurgeon made the recommendation. This is from a back pain sufferer , who has obtained significant relief though the path recommended above.
My condition has been largely alleviated by daily back exercises in a hot tub(102 degs) and minimal pain medication. No physical intervention.
This was the treatment process recommendeg by the Nuerosurgeon and Physical therapist( for my condition)
