Resident ID's for Renters

We will be leaving TV on 11/15 and my sister and her husband will be coming soon after. They will be staying in our home and paying for Resident ID's. My question is, can I pick up their ID's at the same time we turn in our ID's?? Or, must they pick them up in person?

Thanks!

Go to the sales office in Spanish Springs, fill out the form and pay the $50 fee. They have to pick them up at the sales office in Sumter Landing.

Yes they have to pick them up in person. I always fill out the paperwork and pay the fee for my parents. Then they just going to Lake Sumter Landing and pick them up it's pretty easy for them.

Are these Resident ID cards just for renters and the owner of the rental has to turn in their Villages ID as long as renters are in possession of their card?

How well is it monitored so there are not a lot of ex-renters with ID cards?

The only way the homeowner can get their ID's back is when the renter leaves. At this time the renter ID's are deactivated . There's an end date on the renters card at which time they are deactivated. You can never have both renter ID & resident ID active at the same time.

My house is in a long-term rental program and I signed a form so my renters have a Non-Owner Resident ID. If I remember right, this ID is good for two years. This way, my tenants don't have to renew their IDs every few months. The Non-Owner Resident IDs are a different color than the Resident IDs. And yes, Mom and I both turned in our Resident IDs.
