I never got to these when I lived in Reno, Nevada from 1970 through 1983 but wanted to see them.

Virginia City is a hard place to get to and then next to nothing to do.

You could ride an ostrich or camel, check out some silver mines, see where Mark Twain lived for a short time as well as check out some of the original buildings from the Old West Virginia City. It is a tourist trap but one of the funner ones. The drive there from Reno goes through steep mountains with harrowing turns and deep drop offs. Beautiful scenery though. We have been to Virginia City a couple times and it is very interesting. I would recommend not driving a large RV coach to it tho due to the road conditions.

We like Nevada City, CA and the Empire Mine and gold panning in the Yuba River in Washington, CA.
