Large display basic cell phone for the vision impared
Does any one have first hand knowledge of a LARGE display basic cell phone for an elderly person with vision problems? No apps necessary, but a camera would be nice. Thank you in advance

You can do a search online for a cell phone for the visually impaired. Some of these phones are voice activated.

I highly recommend the Jitterbug5 phone. My mother has macular degeneration and is virtually blind in one eye and has limited vision in the other. I got her a Jitterbug. It's a flip phone. GreatCall is the name of the service provider. They will program all of your frequently called numbers into the phone ( or you can do it yourself) . Then the visually impaired person just has to flip open the phone and say the name of the person that they want to call and the phone dials it. It has a large display for when you need to dial a number. It also has 5-Star which is a safety feature. It's a red button on the phone for emergencies. If the person falls or needs help, they can just press the red button and they are connected to an operatior who will assess the situation and send help if needed. The phone has a GPS so they can know where to send help. Phone works great. It has a camera too.
