Has anyone had experience with Watkins Air & Heating? My Old Republic Home Protection warranty plan is sending them out to assess the repairs on my AC that went out this morning. I can not find any information on them anywhere. We usually use Sun Kool, but have no say in the matter.

I did a few searches on line and can find nothing on them. I am a member of Angie's list and they are not listed on there. They are not members of the local better business bureau. No evidence of them on google.

Typically these guys are a one man show needing to supplement their business by contracting their services out to a home warranty company. Doesn't mean there good or bad. They do however receive a very small fee from the home warranty company so they won't spend a whole lot time.

Before he sets foot on your property request the following:
1) copy of insurance certificate & workman's comp.
2)copy of state license with current status for a/c

This should hold true for all trades--License & Insured--has a driver's license & the truck is insured

Some of these fly by night repair artists- can really bite you if something goes wrong
