Publix on 466 VERY busy just now.

Saw a lot of folks "stocking up" and wearing snowbird outfits...long tropical dresses and Sunday shoes.

Crowded.

Welcome HOME, Birdies.

Stocking up

Understandable. The world is ending tonight with the blood moon. So say a bunch of Mormons and other survivalists.

Isn't that Public store nice since the remodel?

annaconner 09-27-2015 03:47 PM

Takes much longer to shop now until I get used to the different aisle.

You can go to publix.com and create a printable shopping list that gives you the aisle locations for everything -- it's even been updated already to reflect the new changes!

You can also order deli sandwiches online and when you want to pick them up. Nice to avoid the que and neverending do you want this or that on it.

If it is busier than the Publix in Colony on 466A, you can't find any parking spot.

Welcome HOME, Birdies.

Long Tropical dresses and Sunday shoes (with shorts and long socks) are every day events here. Why would snowbirds go to Publix dressed like that? Wouldn't they be wearing Parkas and Snow Shoes?

fred53 10-03-2015 04:54 PM

It's the only one I use...

and it's no more crowed than any store I used in southern Maine...you have to shop during the times it's not very busy...early and late...since most of us are retired it's pretty simple and easy to adjust the old shopping schedule...

Plus you can avoid the big sale days and weekends when people who still work shop.
