Exterior House Paint Color Restrictions?

Are there certain colors that you're allowed to paint your house exterior? Have an Iris and want to change the color.

You have to get approval. However the house around the corner just painted their trim bright orange

OH NO. Perhaps someone will point that out to standards, the rules have recently changed and can be enforced.

Bright intense colors on houses is something that could devalue all of our properties. Not everyone has a sense of color and that doesn't make them bad, just.......umm....too colorful at times.

We will hear from the aging hippies first.

Boy I am sticking my foot in it this morning.

Repainting the exterior of your house

I would advise you to contact community standards. There are specific regulations as to what you can and can't do.

If someone does paint an exterior part of their house and it doesn't meet the community standards, just one anonymous call to them and the problem will be taken care of.

Glad you are back in full force. We have a neighbor who just replaced or painted the shutters a turquoise. It is not my taste, but more importantly it could indeed devalue the neighborhood.

ARC should be able to provide or point you to where you can get a chart of suitable colors. NOTE: When we built, we were able to pick our house color, when one of the houses next to ours was built, the owners wanted the same color, and this was not allowed. Call ARC, and ask questions, there are definitely color restrictions.
Hope this helps.

My villa concrete wall color not listed on the district gov site. Where would I find that color?
Looks like the same color of the house?
