In search of good stylist

I moved to The Villages from Orlando and am in search of a good hair stylist. I am looking for someone who can give me an up-to-date style (I have short hair) who truly listens to what I say. I also color my hair as well as occasional highlights so I would need an expert colorist. Has anyone found a stylist they are happy with? I want to mention that I am over paying high prices for hair services. Been there/done that in Orlando and do not want to come out of the salon saying, "OMG...I spent that much!" Any suggestions?

I'm happy with Traci at Cal's in Brownwood.

Try Chadia's - on 466 in the Sabal Palms Building, past the American Legion - between Rolling Acres Road and 441/27. Been going there about a year now, very happy.

Can anyone recommend a good stylist for naturally curly hair? I'm not interested in coloring, just someone who knows how to cut curly hair. Believe me, not every stylist does!

I have short, fine, curly hair and dreaded finding a new stylist when I moved here, but I have been very pleased with Leigha at Salon Jaylee in the Colony Plaza. My hair looked great right from the day after its first cut. Even my former hairdresser used to leave me with hair that seemed mad at me for several days after a cut.

What do you consider a high price for a expert colorist and stylist?
IMHO, most of the salons in TV charge a fair price, but they are not inexpensive.

I'm talking over $200 for color, cut, style and highlights. That's not including tip!😞

You may pay that at Salon Jaylee. My cut, style and foils at Cal's is $80 or $85 plus tip.

Yes! Leslie DiCesare at VIP Hair salon in Lady Lake! She is amazing! And compared to others in The Villages, very reasonable.

I just had a great cut and highlights by Amanda at Cal's in Brownwood. Paid $87 plus tip. The cut was $12 w/highlights and the foils were $75. I don't highlight but every 4 months or so. I brought my highlight color info from MI and gave to Amanda who matched it perfectly. I'll be back.
