Lake Sumter Webcam
 

Has anyone else noticed that the Lake Sumter camera has been askew the last couple of days? I'm in Michigan and I like to check out the Squares and the weather!

I'm hoping the guy that manages the site that hosts the webcams notices this post. I can't remember where he lives but I know it is not in the states.

Hello Sable, I also noticed the webcam at Lake Sumter Landing was shifted a few days ago. Instead of a full shot of the bandshell, the camera angle now captures one of the kiosks where people order drinks and one lane of traffic, so I can see golf carts and cars traveling in this lane of traffic. Part of the square is still captured, but not as many dancers would be able to be seen at this angle.

Weather wise it looks like a really nice afternoon in The Villages.

That's what I see too! My home is between Lake Sumter and Brownwood so I always like to check out those two Squares. The weather looks good today!

How do you access the webcams for the squares?

Go to thevillages.com and click on the temperature in the upper right corner. The webcams pop up.

A few months ago someone posted a link that opens up all three webcams at one time. I have the link but I dont remember how I got it. I bookmarked them on my iPad. Love seeing the Squares although it does make me homesick!

Lake Sumter Landing Webcam Shifted
 

The angle of the webcam at Lake Sumter Landing has shifted again, but the bandshell is still not in the center of focus. The bandshell is now in the top left corner of the webcam's focus. I think I need to come back to TV to fix this. :)

I noticed this morning that the camera has shifited in a different direction!! But still doesn't show still isn't in the center. I think we both need to go to TV to fix it!
