Pickle Ball Time!

I just bought a racket on Ebay. It is a Pickelball Classic Lite I got for $25 including freight! I'm starting to go to a class here in preparation for my arrival at Mulberry starting the first! I've been told to stay out of the kitchen!

Topspinmo 10-15-2015 07:17 PM

It you want to practice some time in the evening or late afternoon I'll try to be available. Only go into the kitchen at lunch time  lot of good a
nd nice players at Mulberry should fit right in on the south side. The north side the dark side :jester: they play for blood over there. Better wait till you get your vampires teeth before you venture over there:oops:

As far as the paddle it's all want you get use to playing with and after you practice/play get feel for touch, form, and how the ball reacts off your strokes.

thanks not sure about which side? The pool is east of the courts. Not in for blood just exercise!

Start out on the mulberry lane street side. Then work your way to the CR42 street side. Either side great bunch of people up there!

You probably wasted 25 Bucks. You should have started with around a 65 buck paddle - available at LSL vendor night or Markets of Marion.

I doubt the price of paddle makes difference. It'swhat you get use to. I prefer heavier paddle. Most of us go through two or three before we find one we like

Why ?

NOBODY plays with a paddle that cheap. I have two $35 paddles I keep in my bag for newbies to use if they need one, but I have never seen anybody other than newbies use similar paddles. I have never seen a $25 paddle.

Pickleball classes are offered at several of the rec centers. Instructors are residents who are experienced players and volunteer there time to help others learn the game. My wife and I have complete Pickleball 101 and 102. If you are new to the game, I recommend signing up for these classes.

Greg Nelson 10-16-2015 10:52 AM

I think he brought it used off eBay? They are regularly 69 bucks plus depending where you by them.

Greg Nelson 10-16-2015 05:20 PM

The paddle I got coming full list is $69. It is NEW not used and they accepted my $25 offer which included freight. My wife told me I couldn't go to the villages with a cheap wooden paddle..

Topspinmo 10-16-2015 08:11 PM

What? A deal!

Greg Nelson 10-17-2015 06:15 AM

Fleabay does have some good bargains. The first paddle I put a bid on was going o cost about $44 and was the same paddle. I withdrew that bid when I got acceptance of my $25 offer. I'm ready to play! VIVA TV! 32F..here in Minnesota..time to fly south!

I have always heard it is the indian and not the arrow that makes a difference.

I don't blame my golf clubs either....

Fraugoofy 10-17-2015 06:16 PM

I bought my TWO perfectly used, almost new condition paddles on TOTV for $40, yep, $20 bucks a piece. They sell on the square for about $75 and I bought my son the same exact paddle on Amazon for $59. People do play with quality paddles at a reasonable price...

palmers 10-19-2015 08:34 AM

$25 paddle

You may have got lucky with your $25 paddle but it's not likely. The best way to buy a paddle is to go to LSL on vendor nite and get properly fitted for a paddle. New paddles start at $49.

Greg Nelson 10-26-2015 08:27 AM

Well now I'm going to have two paddles this is the latest New Pickle Pro Composite Pickleball Paddle White Brand New | eBay I paid $34..be in TV Sunday!!

Topspinmo 10-27-2015 05:18 PM

Greg Nelson 10-27-2015 07:32 PM

I'm bringing the paddle with the larger grip in white. Excited! I also do water aerobics at the Mulberry pool. looking to meet people!
