Justin Trudeau elected Prime Minister

After 10 years of Conservative leadership, Justin son of former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau has become the second youngest Prime Minister of Canada. Unlike his father, the Globe and Mail mentioned ...he has a thin resume. Hopefully he has good advisors all around him.

This is what I have read on this....

"According to the Reputation Institute, it is the "most admired" nation on earth. Immigrants flock there from all over the world -- for the most part politely standing in line for the opportunity.

Taxes seem to get lower every year and the government runs a surplus. Burdensome regulations have been slashed and the tax code's been rewritten to encourage business investment and pro-family policies. Abroad, it's taking the fight to ISIS with a reinvigorated military, standing side by side with Israel and against aggression from the mullahs of Iran and Vladimir Putin's Russia."

The fellow who is responsible for all of this.....

"it's present-day Canada, and its courageous leader just got booted out of office after nine years of steadily maneuvering the ship of state."

"The Conservative Party's loss is to the detriment of its neighbors to the south and the world at large, since the Tory leader, Prime Minister Stephen Harper, was defeated by the unprepared, gaffe-prone but well-coiffed son of a former prime minister, Justin Trudeau."

My Canadian friends are happy that Harper is out..... the CAD is down to 0.77 against the dollar which is bad news for Florida. The Canadian flock of snowbirds is large but their buying power is in the crapper.

Trudeau is a liberal and will give a boost to the Canadian economy. He also will be able to work closely with President Clinton. Great news for both countries!!

"Canadian Liberal prime minister designate Justin Trudeau has confirmed that Canada will withdraw its fighter jets from the US-led mission against Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

In his first news conference following the sweeping majority Liberal victory in Canada’s federal election, the visibly fatigued leader said he had spoken with US president Barack Obama in a phone call during which he discussed his intention to pull Canada’s fighter jets out of the anti-Isis campaign."

The fall of civilization. My condolences, Canada. Now you get to feel the pain we are going through with this younger generation of wannabee communists.

Just goes to show you some people just never learn. It apparently the father was not enough for them now they harvest the son. And in the face of what has happening to their southern neighbor you think they would have been wise enough to avoid the pain. Again we have witness an election based on popularity rather than substance .

Do you believe with the newly elected liberal PM that the Keystone Pipeline is really now a dead issue?

Personal Best Regards?

Guest 10-21-2015 05:34 AM

Yes, the pipeline is probably a dead issue. Liberals want us to be dependent on the middle east. Canada has one advantage that we don't, their liberal is white and won't have ethnicity to use as an excuse for his failings. His defense against any opposition will not be the accusation of "racist" or "sexist" so he will likely endure more hits and wounds. More than likely, they won't have an untouchable emperor running their country.

Yes, he will boost it right into the toilet. The only "President Clinton" he can work closely with is Bill, maybe they can share some cigars. Hilary can watch from the sidelines----I hear she is auditioning to play the part of the ski jumper on the intro from ABC's Wide World of Sports----The agony of DEFEAT.

Problem with the younger generation of lazy communist wannabees? Learn something from a history of socialist failures that you want to relive? Oh, nothing at all. What a stupid question.
