Do you know anyone who doesn't know....

....what this is a pic of and what it is used for? If you see a need for the use of it from the person you're playing with, gently remind them of golf etiquette and maybe carry the lesson a step farther and show them how to use it on tee boxes and fairways; after all, the sand that is poured out of it is free. It really doesn't take an advanced degree or is rocket science to use it. I know all TOTV'ers use it when needed......

Lol. I bought a golf cart and then asked if that was a urinal!

I saw one next to my hospital bed.

I totally agree with you. There really seems to be an increase in the unfilled divots on tee boxes and fairways; why can't some people lower themselves from their entitled class and fix their divots? I'll go a step further and ask why can't this same class of people rakes the bunkers also. I know I'm beginning to expect too much.

What's it for?

You should also post a picture of a bunker rake, especially one from an executive course. Those seem to be ignored even more than the championship bunkers. I know the ambassadors on the exec courses are somewhat restrained about managing pace of play, but can't they at least remind players to rake the traps after taking their typical three swipes at the sand?

Not to pile on but how about a picture of a ball repair tool for the greens. I use the rule fix your own and 1 more, but often that's not close to enough.

And don't forget the folks who have no idea how to repair a ball mark on the greens.

I really think they think all these things are someone elses job. Or they are playing dumb (being polite). Or don't care.

I lean to the latter two!

I was talking with an Ambassador the other day and he told me that one day he did say something to a group of ladies about raking bunkers and that one of them snarled up and told that they didn't have to do that because that was his job. Entitled, no doubt.

People can try a LITTLE harder to play by the rules. It takes the FUN out of it when things are so higglety pigglety.

What is it with saying entitled today? Why do some people want you to feel sympathy for a lot of people who don't even TRY? And talk down to you when all you have done is do it right?

People need to pile on and call people out when they see that happening. I can understand not seeing a small mark when a worm burner skims across the green (as a lot of people's do), but damn, those marks from high lofted shots, I don't understand why the entitled cannot fix them. I try to fix as many as time allows when playing, along with sanding divots on the tees, but it's becoming ridiculous.

I'd prefer to include a picture of a footprint next to a rake, and my ball nudged into the deepest portion of the print. Really aggravating.

For a hundred and forty a month on 36 execs I'll walk, lift, clean and place all day long. You're not playing golf anymore than children are playing basketball with lowered hoops on a half court or playing playing baseball on a tee ball team on a little league field.

Who's acting entitled? Let the other newcomers to golf retirees have a taste too. The entitled very wealthy are not living here. They have caddies for all the clean-ups.

How sad we have all this beauty around us and some of you are looking at the divots and footprints.

There is no game unless there is some sort of a framework of rules for the game. That is so in ANY game. We are just trying to play the golf that is left to us.

THis IS a golfing community. We are the majority. .

Filling a divot hole with sand has absolutely nothing to do with the rules of golf.
