Any info on the wreck on Odell tonight?
We were turned around and had to go up Morris. Hope everyone is okay.

Villagenews.com has the story. Here is a repeat of what I just postef there. "Not sure who was at fault but the fact is vehicles go much too fast on O’dell. There are only 2 speed limit signs on this stretch of O’dell. Speed limit is 30 but I still have cars and trucks tailgating me when I travel within the limit. Signs won’t stop chronic speeders but they are a good reminder. Much easier to avoid the mindless when going slower. Now we are in the busy season, we all need to drive defensively."

The accident I saw was this evening after 5pm.

That is near where we lived in Hadley.
They were wearing shoulder seat belts and I hope it protected them. We still don't have them.
Prayers for them. |

Comment at the end of the article on the on-line news indicated that the golf cart pulled a U-Turn in front of the van! The golf cart driver was air lifted to Ocala Regional and the passenger was also' transported from the scene.' State Police took over the investigation from SCSO.

Good for them on wearing belts. May have saved their life.

Looks like the golf cart drivers "magic" hand didn't work- the "magic" hand is supposed to automatically stop any moving object immediately once its displayed.
Please check to see if there will be a recall for defective "magic" hands. or there made be a notice on the air -if your are currently the owner of a "magic" hand you may be eligible for monetary damages. |
I had a golf cart do a u-turn from the cart lane just in front of me on O'dell by Arvin Lane.Luckily I have a new car with ABS.I almost creamed him and his passenger.I will never forget the look on his face.I can still see him every time I think about it.Very scary. If it would have been a work truck I don't know what would have happened.
