Street parking golf carts

Back into the parking space. With all the stuff hanging off the back of carts it sticks out into the street.( Golf clubs etc) Backing in puts that over the sidewalk and not in the street. I can see why carts get hit.

Since there is a 20mph speed limit on golf cats, why not a maximum overall length

Maybe the police should start issuing tickets to oversized golf carts for hazarding traffic if they overhang into a traffic lane

No need, the golf CATS were taken by the coyotes:1rotfl:

Cars park parallel except on the square. Im talking about other spaces.

No parking tickets in the villages except for in front of a fire hydrant or disabled parking without a permit.

dual seat carts with a golf bag holder added on the back do, in fact, encroach on the driving lanes .Especially noticeable at Lake Sumter on Canal.

Are you saying they are too long to fit on the MMP? Too wide of a cart I would understand but I'm not sure how too long encroaches.

I can also see how too long might be a problem parking. Whenever carrying something too long in a car, like a 2x4, you need to hang a rag off the back. And it's wise to park where no one will walk into it.

I think he meant that when parked (not parallel) the back sticks out into the driving lane, especially on some streets in LSL

I agree. A couple of years ago, Mom, my aunt and I rented a 4 seat, front facing golf cart. I started to park on Canal at Lake Sumter and noticed that the cart stuck way out in the road. So, I dropped off my Mom and aunt and re-parked the cart behind TooJay's. I'm sure I enjoyed my dinner a lot more because I didn't have to worry about someone hitting the cart!
