Do you have to return a leased car to the dealership you leased it from. Thanks!

I didn't - but the best idea is to call the customer service number of your leasing company and ask them directly.

Our new Ford dealer delivered the new van and picked up the Ford Escape that the lease had just ended on. The Escape was from a different Ford dealer. Each situation is detailed, probably best to call the headquarters of your manufacturer for instruction not the dealer.

When I had this situation, the leasing company sent out someone from a company they had contracted with to pick up the car at our house.

You don't necessarily have to turn it in. My last leased car had a $600 turn in fee. I took the car to Car Max to sell it. They quoted me $4500 OVER the residual. They handled all of the paperwork and I walked out with a bank draft for $4500. Make sure that you look at all of your options.
