Site being cleared just east of Sarasota Driving Range?
 

I played the new Escambia course yesterday and noticed that a smallish (less than an acre) parcel just east of the Sarasota Driving Range, on the north side of Moyer Loop was cleared and being prepped for building. Does anyone know what is going in there?

It appears access would be from Moyer Loop and not the Colony Health and other medical/professional buildings behind it. I couldn't find anything on the Sumter County planning/building website and my 2014 Villages (aka $5) map doesn't show anything. My golfing companions said the starter told them it was going to be a big box retailer...but, the parcel looks too small for that.

I was talking to the greeter at Walmart. He said his wife's beautician said her neighbor was talking to someone at Publix who said the cashier said it was going to be Trader Joes.

I was talking to one of the driving range guys who said his wife talked to a waiter at Lopez who said his sister talked to a nurse who lives in Leesburg who said that the doctor she works for is opening a used car lot there.

I heard the same from the doctor's mom. Used cars, not trucks.

I heard from my mechanic it was going to be a golf cart drivers training center.

Fingers crossed for either a mattress store, a bank, a tire store, or a coyote obedience school.

People should not post answers when they don't have the facts. I know for certain that it will be a combo Pat's Steak's and Nick's Roast Beef from South Philly. They will be serving breakfast on weekends with all the "scrapple" you can eat.
