18 holes, 87 ball marks fixed...

...just by me. That's how many I fixed today playing Cane Garden Hibiscus/Jacaranda. And that doesn't include what my wife and the other couple fixed. Infreakingcredible. We were held up by two groups of testosterone filled tour wannabes that don't understand the concept of "tee it forward" or "play ready golf"; that's why we had time to do this. Do most golfers here in TV just not have a clue about repairing ball marks?

There must be a lot of really good players hitting the greens with their approach shots. My chips from just off the green usually does not leave ball marks....

So! You're among the few who don't believe the ambassadors are responsible for fixing ball marks, raking traps, putting sand on fairway divots?

What is wrong with you man? Nothing - you are among the few who know the rules of the game and understand ready golf.

This is not a seasonal issue. It is a problem of lazy and/or abusive golfers.

The golf atmosphere here is decidedly different than what most of us had been used to all our lives.

We are now entering the crowded time of the year and it will get worse.

Don't succumb to golf rage. It ruins one's concentration.

A golfer is responsible for fixing their own ball marks. No excuse, if you don't know that then you know very little about the game'

Sadly, you can't fix stupid, lazy nor entitled. The best you can do is continue doing the right thing. So, thanks for making things a little better for the next golfer.

TV residents, as a group, definitely seem to be more confrontational and rude. It may have something to do with being from the north.

EXCUSE ME!!!!

What a ridiculous statement!

I will bet that most "players" do not even carry a ball mark repair tool!

Thanks for taking the time to fix the marks and making a better golf experience for everyone. Some people just don"t get it.

A tee works fine.

Sure they do it's called a tee. That's what my dad thought me how to fix a ball mark

Chi-Town 11-03-2015 08:34 AM

I get a vicarious thrill repairing someone else's divot. I have such few chances myself.

There ya go!

No wonder it's so slow. Everyone's gardening instead of playing their ball.

TheVillageChicken 11-03-2015 12:35 PM

My hat is off to the OP. If I played 18 with the wife, I would be a broken man. As for repairing others' ball marks, I had enough of 10% of the folks doing 90% of the work in the military. I will repair my pitch mark and all others on my putting line.
