Internet service??
 

A while back, someone posted a thread about some sort of alternative internet service that was going to be started. Something about a tower or service in the vicinity of the Mallory postal area. We are on our way back to The Villages. Did that internet ever go into service? Comcast high speed service is so expensive, its really a rip off. Would love to have access to something else.

Talk to someone at Comcast. I called to say I was switching my serice to a different cable provider, and lo and behold, they had a cheaper service available. They will automatically sign you up for their $49.95 a month internet service, which is 6 k. But they have a service available for $24.95 a month, which is 4 k. It is slower speed, but I haven't noticed a difference at all. Unless you are playing video games online, I don't think you would notice the difference. It is still much faster than the DSL I had upgraded from, and cheaper too.
