What about Quentin Tarantino's new movie?

Are you going to see Quentin Tarantino's upcoming new movie Hateful Eight. I will not because of his recent comments about police officers.

gerryann 11-06-2015 05:30 PM

He's a complete moron. I will never see any of his movies again.

Navy (SSBN 633) 11-06-2015 05:34 PM

after comments would never watch any movie associated with this jerk!!

oakback 11-06-2015 06:04 PM

If I boycotted everything associated with everyone I disagreed with, I'd have to live in a cave and eat grasshoppers.

That's not say I'll see the movie or not.

TheVillageChicken 11-06-2015 07:37 PM

He can join Michael Moore, Sean Penn, Danny Glover, Susan Sarandon, Alex Baldwin and Al Gore on my movie maker poop list.
I'm not Fonda Jane either.

He attended a Police Brutality protest in NYC and spoke about how cops are murderers just days after a NYPC officer was shot and killed. He has been all over the news and has taken a tremendous amount of criticism especially from the Police Unions are calling for boycotts of his new movie. You can make your own determination but as I said I will not see any of his movies.

From this Law Enforcement family, Tarantino can go straight to hell. His movies were good, but he has pi**ed in his Wheaties when it comes to the 330,000 member FOP "family".

There are authors/artists/singers, etc. whose political stances I disagree with but this does not stop me from looking at their paintings, books, movies, etc.

Plus, most of the movies coming out of Hollywood and elsewhere are the collective work of a couple hundred to a thousand people or more. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3460252/fullcredits/ I am not going to skip on seeing the work of so many people just because the Director, Lead Actor, Lead Actress or whoever has a big mouth.

It does depend on the movie's message too though. Some of these I do boycott if they celebrate the trampling of human rights. I do not think I would want to see a Lance Armstrong nor a Bill Cosby movie/TV show.

There are different degrees of severity regarding issues I disagree with. I disagree with the USGA outlawing the anchored putter. I won't boycott USGA events because of this. Refering to the police as a group as murderers I disagree with this intensily and for me I will boycott his works. This goes way beyond acceptable behavior.

Tarantino, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, George Clooney, Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, Jane Fonda, Bill Maher, Danny Glover., Michael Moore et al all made a very good living because of the freedoms provided by the men and women in uniforms. These Oath Keepers kept their word and have kept us safe and preserved our union.

These useful idiots confuse their world of fantasy with the cruel factors of nature and man. It is indeed an ugly picture when man fights man and all the more reason to understand and appreciate the sacrifice these folks make in keeping the peace. It is our military and law enforcement officers who subject themselves to the trauma surrounding these events.

I have for some time refuse to support any of these actors, entertainer sports figures.. It is an act not even noticed but it is for me my way of paying honor to our Oath Keepers.

Personal Best Regards:

Quentin Tarantino, At The Eye Of A Firestorm

I do not like the painting with a broad brush that Quentin Tarantino kind of implies nor some of the moves by his opponents which also stereotype people involved in making movies. The police union threats though do put people in jeopardy at movie theaters which is very worrisome if I am reading this right.

Some of the celebrities in Hollywood and elsewhere do have a tendency to make broad ranging indictments and the like without really probing into the facts. Above is a protester I like to see.
