Wreck at BV north Lagecy lane RB

South bound left lane sports car (convertible maybe ??) on its top just before roundabout. Looked pretty bad from north bound lane. Happened around 10:35am or so. Only thing I can say is slow done an drive defensively.

The key word there is SLOW DOWN, capacity is going up every day and so are the speeds. I hope all involved are safe.

Chazz 11-09-2015 05:03 PM

From the online news report, the cause of the accident is not yet known.

the key word is stay out of the left lane while you are driving slow and not in a hurry and leave the left lane open for we that are in a hurry!

Left lane on Blvd is for through traffic and turning left. Not for speeder's going 50 MPH in 35 MPH speed zone

Same as 441, only on interstate highway you should move over for faster moving traffic due to two or more lanes and exits only on the right. yes you can be ticketed on interstate for driving in left lane and impeding traffic even if you are speeding, but not on Blvd unless emergency vehicles are approaching.

As for me if there is impatient AS behind me I will move on over.

if you are driving slow you should not be in the left lane period!

I think the "slow down" means close to the legal speed limit, we all know majority drive faster than the speed limit when we're out and about.

I agree with your if the driver is not going to turn left and creeping along

The dream is still there......some are in the me, me zone.

Just remember that the speed limit applies to both lanes.

no you cannot get a ticket for impeding traffic even if you are speeding, you are never allowed to speed. nobody can make you move over if you are doing the speed limit. the impeding traffic law says you can get a ticket for going 10mph or more under the speed limit in the left lane.

I googled this about 6 months ago. The rule on interstate and toll roads in Florida the left lane is for fast moving traffic and you can't impede traffic in the left lane on IS and toll roads no matter how fast you are going, if someone going faster you shall move over even if you are speeding. It's the police responsible to enforce speed limits.

On Blvd and state roads the rule don't apply unless emergency vehicles are approaching from behind. You must pull over and slow down. If emergency vehicle or officer in pulled over and stopped with flashers or cherries On you must move over or if you can't you must slow down to 25 MPh. That s the way it read 6 months when I copied and pasted it in post on this subject of left lane hogs. If you google it please read the entire paragraphs. If it has changed copy and paste it please.

If you leave a few minutes early, maybe you wouldn't need to be in a "hurry"" ! I can't stand road bullies, they make me slow down even more.
