Just discovered there is a Comcast remote App for iPhone. If you have Comcast and an iPhone you have to get this App. You can even record shows remotely if your not home. Other service providers and Android phones may also have Apps that work with your equipment.

DirecTV also has an app that performs as a TV remote, as well as allowing you to schedule recordings from remote locations.
