Restaurants on Christmas Day

Anybody know of restaurants open on Christmas day for brunch or dinner?

Here's a link showing places open for Christmas on the Villages Gourmet Club page.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page #4 and click for a search.

Most, if not all, are full. At this point, you probably have three options.

1. Hope someone takes pity on you and invites you over.

2. Invite everyone you meet or make an open house invite to TOTVers to come over for a potluck. There are frequently folks whose plans changed and now have nowhere to go.

3. A buffet restaurant such as the Golden Corral.

Hope you find something.

How about late on Christmas Eve. We have a flight in but won't be in The Villages until 8 or so. TIA

Chinese restaurants are typically open on Christmas.

Perkins is open. Also if you sign up ahead of time the Lions Club in Oxford offers bingo w a turkey dinner served. I think bingo starts at 11am.

whatever you do, do not go to Amelia's at Waterfront Inn. I took my son there for Thanksgiving and it was terrible and expensive. Rolls were cold and almost stale, limited buffet, my son got sick from the ham. Desserts looked like box cakes that were dry. I had to hunt down someone to get water glass refilled. Water glass had lipstick on it. But the worst part of all was when they brought the bill. I nearly fainted when I saw the total--$86. They automatically put a 20% tip on it though we were only 2 people. Now I probably would have tipped that anyway if the service was at least ok but the waitress did little more than write the check. I am not a complainer but we would have got a better meal at Golden Corral at a fraction of the cost.

Wow, sorry to hear it wasn't good for you. We had friends that went and said it was very good and they had a nice time.

I'm all for staying home or getting together with friends so restaurant employees can have a day off with their loved ones

Pasta Fare was also a rip off. Turkey roll...2 thin slices and it was terrible...The dinner for 2 , was #41.00....The also put the 20 percent tip on the bill. We will not go there again for anything...

All of you going out to dinner on a holiday are asking for poor service &food! Sure wish all businesses were closed on Christmas, Thanksgiving ,& Easter.

I was in a grocery store on a Thanksgiving morning and told the cashier I was sorry she had to work on Thanksgiving. She replied, "I'm not, I'm getting triple time". She also said she would be home in time to have Thanksgiving dinner with her family.

We will be traveling on Christmas Day and are planning on packing a lunch!

We were caught once on U.S.301 between NY and Richmond on Thanksgiving Day, with 2 kids. Not a single place was open for lunch, not even McDonalds. But that was many years ago
