Great Polo Over The Weekend (Pictures)
 

Those of you who didn't attend the 30-goal match on Saturday and the 16-goal match between Mexico and The Villages on Sunday missed a real experience. The quality of the players and the horses were a definite step up from what we've been seeing here in recent years. Saturday's match was the best quality polo played in the U.S. in more than a decade--a super bowl of super bowls, of sorts. Our "normal" polo is pretty doggone good, but this weekend we saw what will become more common here on our polo field. The decision has been made to definitely "step up" the level of play on our superb facilities.

In any event, make it a point to go out and watch the beautiful horses and the extremely talented players. Here area couple of pictures I took at the weekend games.

Great pics. I missed this game but saw my first polo game the week before. It is a treasure in The Villages. Fortunately we sat at a table with some polo "pros" who explained the game. I even stomped the divots. Great fun. Sounds like they may have more of the top international players.
