Can anyone recommend a good men's haircutter?

This will be our first full winter at TV, meaning I won't be able to get my hair cut by the fellow who's been doing it for longer than I can remember up in NYS. Suggestions, please? Thanks!

If you're a Yankee fan, go to Salty.

Sidney,

Salty at Cal's in LSL does a terrific job, and he is fun to chat with.

I go to Wildwood. In the strip mall where the Ace Hardware and the County offices are located (in the center of the strip mall) is a small barber shop run by two women. Very pleasant, rarely any line of any kind, and a decent job. Also, gives me an excuse to browse through the Hardware Store, the Radio Shack, and hit the Italian buffet lunch @ Angelotti's (when the diet allows!) on the same trip.

I am the barber

I cut Eds hair.

Well Sidney, if you get a bad haircut you can wear the hat that you have on in your Avatar, You look very fetching.:coolsmiley:

I've used a flowbee for over 25 years (some say, "it shows"). Anyway, I can say... cut my own yard... cut my own hair... try the Flowbee!

You know what the difference is between a bad haircut and good haircut?

Three days!

I go to Jack, Thursday or Fridays at Cal's in Colony Plaza. He's great, if you prefer female, Judy is right beside him and also does a good job.

I had Salty (at Cals in LSL) cut mine twice---very good job both times; and since Cal's is cheap, Salty gets a bigger tip.

Veronica at Urban Hair Studio just off 466 by the rail road tracks, cuts my hair. Same price as a barber, but does a "good" job. I don't look like an old man with a fresh haircut when she is done. Plus, the scenery ain't bad either, and they take appointments, and they welcome walk ins.

PLUS PLUS, Urban Hair Salon is a long time advertiser on this forum, which makes them even better.

In fact the Third Annual Classic Car Show fundraiser will take place this coming Saturday, October 11, and I will be out there in full regalia in the cow pasture selling 50-50 raffle tickets to support our local library and volunteer fire company. The avatar comes from this show a year or two ago. Sold 2,800 raffles, and last year's winner walked away with over $900. To raise that much money for the community, I'll wear whatever 'costume' attracts attention! (Uh oh....)

Can't figure out how to put two quotes in one post. What the heck is a 'flowbee'? Is my age showing? Or is anything else showing? '-)

Sidney Lanier 10-09-2008 03:10 PM

Seriously ...

Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions! At least I'll have someplace to start. Much appreciated!
