I will keep this simple. I, a LONG TERM REPUBLICAN, have researched this issue for weeks now and I must say, I think Sen McCain is going to harm the elderly and anyone with pre-existing problems with his proposed bill. My wife and I are fortunate enough to be able to afford his plan, but so many fixed income folks are going to feel pain if his plan should go into effect. Can any of you purchase a health care plan for $2,500 SINGLE or $5,000 COUPLE. If not, and you have a employer paid plan in your retirement, you will keep your existing health care plan but you will be taxed on the coverage as income.
Thanks for your ear and I would invite comment especially if I am incorrect in my research.
