What is friendship?
 

I believe that each of us has fewer than 5 really, truly, close friends in a lifetime. They are the people that you can call at 3 in the morning if you need help and the same people will be angry with you if you didn't call them. I do know that many of us consider our spouse to a friend as well, but friends we meet along the way fall into a different catagory.

I am very fortunate that two of my best friends in life are each partners of mine in two completely seperate corporations. One friend a partner in one company and another friend a partner in another company. I talk to each of them by phone almost every day or two. The business conversations end with tears of laughter flowing down our faces almost every time.

I thought that maybe some friendship quotes would bring some smiles to Talk of The Villages

At this point in time I feel like all TOTV'rs have alot more then 5 good friends.
I never felt this way before so this is all so wonderful! I know that in the future we will all be there for one another in good times and bad , I can feel it in my heart. This is a wonderful new beginning for all of us and I am overjoyed with the prospect of so many kind loving friendships.

TV is paradise, This has to be the next best thing to heaven!:luvmyhors

A Best friend is someone who uses up her vacation time to go stay at her best friends house to provide respite care for her by taking care of a premie infant with a hole in its heart and pulmonary vein and valve stenosis, a feeding tube and O2.

My daughter did this. The baby is now recovering from heart surgery and has a good prognosis.!!!:clap2::popcorn:

I believe that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
