NCL cruise line
 

Has anyone travelled on the NCL cruise ships. If so, what is the majority age of the passengers.
We are thinking of cruising to Alaska and Bermuda.
Any information you provide will be very helpful.

You can go to Cruise Reviews, Cruise Deals and Cruises - Cruise Critic and investigate each ship. They tell demographics for each cruise.

We went on one of the smaller, older ships and didn't like it. Inside areas were dark and cramped - low ceilings; food at dinner was served tepid; other passengers were not that friendly and crew didn't seem to get along with each other.

Having said that, the newer ships may provide a better experience.

Be warned that getting out of Dockyard in Bermuda can be time-consuming if two large ships are in at the same time. Take the ferry straight to St George's, rather than a bus or taxi the other way.

I would recommend you go to CruiseCritic.com and put the cruise line and the name of the ship. They will address many things, including the average age of passengers for that ship. It's a great source of information - you'll like it!

NCL is known for their children's programs. The number of children will depend on your destination and time of year you cruise. For example: most likely less children will be on the Alaska tour than Bermuda. If you go to a destination when school is in session there will be less children.

We did an Alaskan cruise on the Norwegian Pearl a few years ago, and it was a great trip. If your budget allows it, I would suggest booking a suite in The Haven and you will have a butler, dedicated concierge staff, a reserved seating area in the theater for the evening shows and a private restaurant for breakfast and lunch, where the service and food were very good. On the newer NCL ships, Haven guests have all those "perks" as well as a private restaurant for all three meals each day. If you stay in The Haven you also get priority boarding and debarkation at the ports. We are booked on the Norwegian Epic this November, for an eastern Caribbean cruise, and really looking forward to it!

I also sailed on the S/S Norway in the 80's and early 90's and enjoyed all of those cruises as well. Unfortunately, the Norway no longer exists.
