New Years Eve
 

Anyone know what the deal is for New Years Eve ?
Is The Villages NOT providing music in town square to mid-night or after ?
Anyone have information ?

I'm going by memory from last years grumbling. The "Squares" only contract music to 9 PM. Even though New Years Eve far exceeds the 9 PM hour, last year they did not play at the squares past 9 PM. I do not reside in TV as yet so maybe someone can verify what I've told you.

They did provide music until midnight up until last year. :ohdear:
Last year was our first New Year's here and we were so disappointed. The Villages started planning it, then pulled the plug. All the music in both squares stopped at 9pm. I did hear that some Rec Centers had private parties, but we were newbies and didn't know anyone. :(

Keep watching here though because I'm sure there will be something in the works and it will be posted. :)

We sure hope there is something for New Years. We are flying in that morning to celebrate the New Years in our Villages home or, if we're lucky, maybe we would be living permanently in our house in Amelia and celebrating. Either way we hope to celebrate with our new friends.

I'm sure the TOTV social committee will come up with a plan! :pepper2:

Just found out that my 2 weeks vacation was finally approved, so we will be there over Christmas and New Year. Sure hope something will be happening.

We should be arriving finally around the 30th or 31st after our long drive from CA. We are so excited to be spending our first New Years in TV and moving on to the next chapter. I heard that the Spectors will be in TV--just not sure where. Has any one heard where they might be?:pepper2::2excited:

That's great news, Garsha, 2009 must look soooo exciting. Have a safe trip and don't forget the hats and horns for New Years Eve!! Mr. Peachie and I will be thinking of all TV party people on that night from our home in the frozen tundra, :cold: , yuk.

I deleted everything I wrote this morning before I was awake and had coffee. Everyone see what the German Club is offering. I here it is a good party.

Arriving next week and looking forward to celebrating our fifth year in the Villages and our 35th anniversary on New Years Eve.

Are you heading straight south to drive I-10 to Fla? How many days do you plan on taking to do the 2800 miles?
