Does anyone know of any transportation to,and from The Villages and Tampa Airport. My husband and I Wil be using Tampa on our next visit and wondered about getting to The Villages and then back to the airport. I know the shuttle runs to Orlando......but not Tampa? Thanks

I don't know if the shuttle runs to Tampa, but Charlie Witte car service will pick you up at the airport and deliver you straight to your door. Do a search up there in the search box for him. If you can't find him, I will dig out his number. Wherever my husband has stashed it. Could take weeks.:laugh:

I Can help...One Way Rental..is the way to do it. Hertz Car rental or Enterprise both are located in The Viullages. Arv.@ Tampa go to counter pick up vehicle drop off at whichever car rental you choose..same thing on the return. You pay Gas..and Tolls (if)any. One way drop charge is minimal. I do it all the time save $$ and best of convenience.

There is no shuttle to Tampa and if you hire a Limo..you are going to pay Big $$

Charlie Witte is not a limo, and his prices to Orlando are about the same as the shuttle's prices. Prices to Tampa are probably a little more because of the distance. But not limo prices. If you don't want to drive, it's a good way to go. You let them know your arrival time and call when you are deplaning. They pick you up at the luggage/exit door. No waiting or trying to find a shuttle and wait while others get dropped off.

We always use them when we're traveling for long periods and coming in from long flights. Tampa is father than Orlando, and the traffic is bad through that area.

But to each his own.

Actually Limo/Taxi same thing...Transportation to Tampa by Taxi is expensive the last time I checked. The road works are not a big deal now. The best way as I mentioned is One Way Car Rental...Hertz or Enterprise...
