Major House Fire in Historic District
 

I had smoke in my yard from a fire on Rainbow Blvd. in Silver Lake. I could see a huge cloud of thick dense smoke rising from behind my house. I went over to take a look and a manufactured home was totally consumed. I hope no one was in there.

I took this picture from between 1229 and 1231 Dustin Dr. I believe the fire was at 670 Rainbow Blvd

Scary. I sure hope the only losses are material items...

Saw the smoke from Colony Plaza.

The woman who lived there got out with her phone and pocketbook. Most of the damage was done to the garage and thanks to The Villages Public Safety Department the flames did not spread to any neighboring homes.

Photos on the online source, looked like the house was totaled also. Article hinted that it started in the garage.

Another electric golf cart fire there?

She stated she hear heard a popping sound, that would probably be electrical. The main service panel is located on the back side of the garage if it is like our house.

Very scary situation and I'm glad the woman is safe. I suffered second and third degree burns in a mobile home fire in '76 and thankful to this day I got out alive. Mine was determined to be electrical.
