GE Cafe Range and Microwave story...
Bought because I thought GE was a good ole "Made in America" company..NOT, after crawling under range to read S/N, find a sticker that said, Made in Mexico, Ugh!
Microwave finally coughed out after several attempts to fix, thanks to U-tube, but now we find out that the range knobs needed to be changed at a total cost of over $300....WHAT! (Six plastic knobs) Contacted GE Public Relations and they are sending us knobs at no cost.:pepper2::pepper2: See, there is power in prayer, and a little bit of RANTING!...giggle! |
you could have gone to any of the large stores that carry parts like home depot, lowes, etc.
I replaced mine at a cost of $ 3.00 each. They can also order them for you. |
GE has just sold their appliance business to the Chinese Company Haier. They had been trying to sell it to Sweden's Electrolux but met with Gov't opposition.on antitrust grounds.
