Grandfather Clock "Person"
Will be moving from one TV location to another in March. Need to find a person to dis-mantle and re-assemble our grandfather clock. Does anyone have experience with a local clock person? Many thanks.

Don't have an answer about a clock person, but when we moved I did not have to disassemble my clock. Removed the weights, (they have to be replaced in same position)
and the pendulum. They unhook, and secure the cables so they don't unwind. |
I agree with the above, we moved our own clock. We stopped by a store that sold clocks, and were able to get a moving kit. This had 3 Styrofoam blocks that were used to secure the cables after the weights are removed, and a padded box for the pendulum. After these were removed, the door was secured, the clocked wrapped in a double layer of movers pads, and successfully moved 1025 in the U-Haul truck, send me a PM if you need additional help.

YES Watch/clock repair is his business and he is reasonable!

I also had a good experience with Joe Gibbs. Both a move and a "tune-up".

Great. Thank you all very much.
