Engineered Floors
 

Does anyone have new engineered floors in their home and who installed them for you? Were you happy with the job and price?

I am a retiree from Shaw Floors. We had all the Mohawk carpet pulled from our new home in TV and replaced with Shaw Epic engineered hardwood. I was Shaw's patent attorney so I know how it is made and its quality. I've been to the plant and seen it produced. Highly recommended.

Ours was installed by Roberto's Flooring in Colony Plaza. Very happy with installation.

We were not satisfied with the hardwood floors installed by that company. Don't get the brand they sell for $6.00 sq.foot installed, that is made in China. It stains immediately when you walk on it barefoot, and also stains if you drop any water on it. We had to cover all the floors with large throw rugs.

The US manufacturers have battled low price/low quality Chinese imports for years.

Go with a name-brand US made product (even if it's not Shaw Epic).

I can only speak for the installation quality of Roberto's, since I sent them the Shaw flooring to install.
