Looking for a Dentist
Hate to start a new Thread, but all the other Dental inquiry threads I could find in ToTV have been closed. Recently moved to TV and need to find a dentist. Read many prior posted inquiries (which were very informative), and consistent with the "factory" mentality my Up North" dentist warned me about.
A number of the old post threads highly touted Dr Don Burbank DDS but it appears he sold his practice a few years back to Dr Carlos Medina, who appears to have the same patient care philosophy as Dr Burbank but there are no reviews I can find to actually verify this. Has anyone used Carlos Medina DDS "The Dentist" on Lagrande Blvd south of the Golf Car bridge, and if so what has your experience been? Much thanks for any comments. |

Dr Jerkins - Thanks for the reply so quickly.
Just to make sure we are sync'd on the same Dentist, the Dr Medina I am referring to is located at 307 Lagrande Blvd-Lady Lake, FL just a block north of the Home Depot location and South of the Golf Car bridge. I am not aware he has a Fruitland office so wanted to make sure there aren't two different doctors with the same last name. I really like the fact that this dentist appears to be an individual office and not a factory dental mill outlet! :-) That, in addition to some good recommendations from TV folks sounds like a winning choice. |
The previous poster was referring to Dr. Jerkins in Fruitland Park, not Dr. Medina. I am also a patient of Dr. Jerkins and wholeheartedly concur with the recommendation. A caring office staff and dentist. I have previously had unpleasant experiences with dentists that left me "dentist phobic" and his office solved that. When something needs to be done, he always gives me options.

I go to Serenity Dental Spa, Dr. Luong in Spanish Springs. I think they are great and they haven't been pushy about doing things that cost $$$ like others in the area.

Heritage dental,
by Home Depot area behind the race trac gas station, had a hard to locate source of intermittent pain, he worked hard & long to resolve it. It was food caught below the gum line on the opposite side simply referring pain. Simple once discovered half the cost of NY dentists. Another dentist (un-named) could find it or have time & patience to do so. |
Dr. Jerkins has my vote. Honest and painfree!
