All I can say is......GOOD :a040: There were regulations in place to have coal emissions cleaned up but Bushie gutted those. I live in Colorado it is November 3rd and expected to be 80 degrees today.

Ever heard of Global Warming?

No way.....I bought in TV to dodge the winters here DEC, JAN, FEB, MAR.

But a cold front is coming in early so they revised the high today, only 75.

Yes it is....I have loved it here since I was 16, so years ago. But the cold kills my knees now. I'll be in TV in late Dec.

Take Care.

Fox Noise strikes again...

Maybe Obama really doesn't want to kill the coal industry. It appears Fox left out some of the interview. OMG FOX would never do that :1rotfl: Everybody knows they are "Fair and Balanced"

Fox and Friends was set to report that Obama was dissing Fox News but their own reporter Major Garrett put a stop to that with a memo.

Busted!!!!

Considering Obama has more than once stated he is for CLEAN coal factories, the quotes in this article make little sense. If it was picked up from the SF Chronicle, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that newspaper didn't misquote -- it is an extremely liberal paper and I doubt it is even pro-clean coal. Of course, it could have easily been misquoted by the online sources. Either way, it really does sound like a distortion of what Obama has previously said and believes.

And I heartily endorse the idea that if you're a factory using coal, you need to do your part to make sure it is burning as clean as humanly possible. If you're not, then you deserve to have your company bankrupted via fnes, etc. I've seen the damage done by factories and their air, soil and water pollutants. Many continued polluting long after they knew the effects and didn't care because the fines were much less than the clean up. It is time to make the fines harsh enough to stop the pollution.

This has been going on for decades and no one

person, incluing the Prez of the USA is going to make a difference...even the perpetual populists knuckle under when they get into a position of responsibility.
It's the good ol' boy system and even 'O' will not have any impact. Even 'O' will not buck the Corporate special interest lobbies so well established in the Congress and Senate.

As the rumor already has it...just wait (if he wins!!!) for the ad blitz that will follow if he gets elected....designed specifically to reduce expectations.
It will be very political rubbish about why we the people should not expect all the things promised BEFORE the election to get the sheeple to vote for them.

Either party!!!! Just wait and see.

:agree:
The original title of the thread is completely inaacurate. He did not say he would bankrupt the coal industry...just more ridiculously inflamatory headlines on things intentionally taken out of context.

I just want to say, to all my friends. If you haven't voted yet, get out and vote tomorrow. God bless America and the United States within.
