Lake Sumter development
I have heard that there is either active or planned development of some sort on the north side of Lake Sumter on 466 and east of Morse Blvd. This is the area across the lake from The Village of Caroline. Does anyone know what is going on or planned for that area?

I heard that was going to be open space. The property just seems so ripe for development. If I owned it I would build a six or seven story high end condo
complex near the water. The condos would range from 500K-1.5 mil and would be luxurious with private security at the entrance. |
Sam, are you planning on moving again? ;)

more building ?
Just curious - is this property owned by the Morse-family, TV property?
TOTV is so informative about what is happening in The Villages..... all the new construction - the new cottages, the new rental homes, now another proposed project. As a wannabee who has never visited TV , it seems like so much construction, building and more building and then people remark about the crowds and long lines in restaurants, etc. I just wonder if there will be any open spaces after buildout is complete ? Yeah, I'll come visit someday :ohdear: P.S. I like Sam's idea of luxury condos with a lake view - save one for me  |
Not that I know of Peachie..but never say never!!
Coney, I think there would be a large market for that. Some people want no yards to care for but don't want to give up a larger home. They could build 3000-5000 SF condos. You could have round the clock security at the front door/desk. You would pay a common fee for pest treatment, security, etc. Look at the money you would save on landscaping and yard maintenance!! Smaller condos could be built behind the larger units and go for less money. |

A place called Mission Hills in going in where the old Black Cow used to be. havent heard anything about condos. suppose to be like a wildlife reserve area

Wildlife? You mean like some of the seniors at Katie Belles?

South of 466 between Morse & County Line
The area where Black Cow Topsoil is, is owned by a corporation (Lazy B Cattle Venture) headed by Gary & his son, Mark (i.e. the Morse Family) and currently zoned agricultural. The area around it is owned by The Villages of Lake-Sumter Inc. and is zoned for a Shopping Center. Time will tell.

I had heard months ago that it was going to be "open space" (undeveloped)
Drove by there last night, and there is a sign out that says commercial property sites avail. I, for one, would much prefer commercial development rather than homes. jeffy |
