Katie Belles

Last evening we went to Katie Belles for the second time since it has opened. We had a party of 5 people and out of the 5 people 3 meals were incorrect. One person didn't get her meal until 5-10 minutes after everyone else. Someone came to our table from the kitchen and never once apologized for the inconvenience. The restaurant was not even busy. We got there at 4:00. Our waiter was not good. He screwed up the whole ticket when he sent it to the kitchen. The prime rib was a terrible cut, the Chicken Oscar had no taste. Salmon and shrimp orders were good.

Katies Belles itself was beautiful as I knew it would be, but I wouldn't go back there for dinner.

So, what did the manager say when you relayed your story to him?

gatherer47 02-20-2016 05:27 PM

Hey Kwachowski-by the time this thread winds down, someone will be saying this was your fault or saying why are you so fussy or bringing up how when they went to Katie Belle's that everything was perfect-they'll say since their experience was so good, you must have done something wrong and are to blame-and as far as what the manager says, how does whatever the manager says change your bad experience-the standard response on here "what did the manager say?"

I think you just about covered it all. Now what?

Definition of "cheap" please.

Dilly....you and me, we look at things the same. I know for a fact that you have had many experiences with fine dining. Cheap is relative, and less expensive is very desirable here in The Villages where lots of people are hoping to not outlive their dough.

I hate it when so many folks always look at things in a gloomy way. I know what I would do if I had the same experience as the OP. I wouldn't go back. Then sooner or later an establishment will close and people will be looking to cast blame on someone.

When things aren't up to par, business is lost and the word gets out. So we will see. We will see.

You only outlive your dough, if you are not smart enough to invest wisely--I've made more money in my retirement than I did when I was working and in business.

Every economic down turn is a bargain basement for the save investor.

2008-9 was a super gift to me.

Cheap - they even let women wear makeup or is it red shoes?

That's nice. You would really enjoy spending some of that on a nice golf cart. Even if you just drove it around the neighborhood streets and maybe took up golf. There are exciting things you are missing out on. You too can cuss, just like me, on the golf course.

Chatbrat 02-22-2016 12:19 AM

I'll stick with our Mercedes and participate in other sports besides golf--

jblum315 02-22-2016 08:58 AM

After what happened at Colony last week I now know that I will never own a golf cart

Do you own and operate a motor vehicle?
Statistics are much higher for a life threatening incident every time one gets in one.

To each his own.
