Car Wash in the SW portion of The Villages
 

Does anyone know of a good car wash on the South or West side of The Villages?
I have been going to Atlantis Car Wash, which does a great job, but it is a long trip from my home near Brownwood.

I agree. Atlantis is always very busy and is quite a drive for the southerners. Would love to see some enterprising entrepreneur put in a wash in Wildwood maybe, or somewhere along HWY 44?

I sometimes wonder where people lived before when they think a drive to Atlantis is a long drive. Can't be more than 25 minutes. Couple the trip with some shopping, exploration or breakfast/lunch and it becomes a pretty fun day.

I could be mistaken but I thought I saw a car wash at the gas station on the corner of 301 and 44 across from CVS (I think). Don't know how good it is and not even sure I did actually see a car wash. I drove by quickly and thought I saw it out of the corner of my eye as I was passing the gas station.

There is one at that Sunoco station. It is an unmanned "stall" that takes cash or credit cards. It did only a fair job on my SUV at best.

I went thru this one at the shell station you are describing. Not bad. Not as good as Atlantis though but Ok and not the drive.

There is a small self wash on 301 south of SR44. Also, a rotary wash at the Shell on SW corner of SR44 and 301

You are correct. The Sunoco station at the intersection of 44 & 301 has a car wash.

While this doesn't address the issue of the South End, as a previous poster suggested, I wash our SUV at Sams Club when I go there to do some shopping. It is inexpensive and does an excellent job. They have touch-less as well as regular.
