I went into my "pictures" yesterday to pull up saved pictures to show some friends and all my pictures are gone. (one years worth) Yes, dummy me, I did not save them to a cd so I really need to get them back. The folder is empty. I checked the recycle bin and have done numerous searches and can't find my pictures. Does anyone know a way to retrieve lost files? You can e-mail me at

Recovering deleted files can be a tricky thing. The biggest issue is time. the longer a computer is used from the moment the files are deleted, the less chance of a successful recovery. I can attempt to recover your pictures, but there is no guarantee that I, or anyone for that matter, will be successful.
All of my services are $75 per hour. My schedule is relatively open. I have a 10:00 appointment this morning in Chatham village that will take approximately 2 hours. The best chance for recovery will be if I pick up the computer and bring it back to my office. My initial estimate is $75 to $150 total (1 to 2 hours)

Congratulations! I'm glad to hear that you were mostly successful in getting your pictures back. I always feel bad when someone loses data on their computer. May I suggest an external hard drive and backup utility to help protect your computer?
