Toilets

Could you tell me how to turn off the valve under the toilet. The little knob just turns and nothing is happening. Hope I don't sound stupid. Thanks

The valve handle may not be seated on the stem and just the valve handle is turning. Check to see if there is a screw in the center of the valve handle, if so, tighten and then try again.

When I closed on a house here 3 months ago, the builder showed me something about pulling out and pushing in the toilet knob, also the same for all the under sink knobs. yup, just tried it on my toilet, kinda hard to pull it out, but that seems to be it.

I believe all the valve's used in the villages are of a push-pull variety ..........i'm really not that smart , its just that it dawn's on you after you turn one for 28 minutes and nothing happens...

Now , about my front door ???????

They are push pull.

don't remember which is which so you will have to try one or the other.

Most of them ARE push pull. Obviously the off position will be whichever is not on. (ha-ha)

I'd been trying to figure that one out also. Thanks for the info!!!

good plumber

can anyone recommend a good plumber (also reasonable) to fix leaky shower and kitch. sink? Also, does anyone know where the shut off valve for the shower may be? The house is a Gardenia.

Yes this is indeed helpful as I struggled with this for months myself.
