How to store Yamaha EFI cart for 4 months

Just switched to a gas cart and would like to hear how some of you store your carts for extended periods of time.

I did try a seach of TOTV but did not find much!?

I've stored my 12/1/2 efi cart for 5 months or so with making the last tank of gas the ethanol free gas from the Village Cart Store gas station.... or the last 5 gallon tank of regular gas with the marine additive... either / or. Seems to work fine. Put a battery minder on the 12volt battery and there you go. So far no problems.

I disconnected the battery and walked away from it. (as suggested by the dealer) I did have less than 1/4 tank of gas in the tank.

Came back and it fired up right away.

The tires were a little out of round, but after a block it smoothed out. The second time I was going to jack it up off the tires, but I didn't.

If you don't have someone to periodically stop by and drive it, I would drain as much gas as possible out of the tank and then drive it around your neighborhood to run it out of gas. Gas, even with a conditioner or additive added to it, can have a tendency to go bad and gum up carburetors and fuel injection systems. I start everything I have with a gas engine and don't use regularly (portable generator, pressure washer) every couple of weeks and they've never failed to start yet. Just an opinion on what to do.......

Most of us don't look at the category prior to responding and we are just giving opinions to help out a fellow villager.

The attitude is very unbecoming.

Everyone wanting to help is greatly appreciated. The issue is that when we have a dedicated section for Frank to reply and others reply we don't want any mixed messages on what is his expert advice on a topic vs. information that may be not the same as what his recommendation are.

Thanks in advance.
