Lanai Extnsion and Enclosure

We are looking to extend our lanai, have it seamlessly flow into our existing one, then enclose the whole lanai. Any recommendations for this type of job?

T&D, hands down.

Agreed.

T&D has a very good reputation. I would get at least 3 estimates, but sure ALL of the estimates are based on the same scope of work. If one of the bidders mentions something the other did not, go back and check. Then confirm the expected construction schedule, T&D seems to run longer then others.
Finally, talk to your neighbors and see what they did. We extended the lanai, but into a bird cage. As I showed it to other neighbors, they said, Oh I wish I had thought of that when they had done their project.
One final word, just a suggestion, talk to the Sumter County building department about what you want to do. These people are great, and can provide guidance that will go a long way to smoothing your project, I know they helped me.
Hope this helps.

Thanks - we thought they would do a good job.

T&D dos very nice work... but they seem to be way over priced. I got quotes from them to expand my lanai and bird cage apx. 50' x 25' and they were asking around 44,000. I got a quote from another company in the area for about half. The other company is called All Seasons Pools, hope this helps.

Hold on before you make your decision. We had quotes for a Golf Cart Garage from the following...T & D..Fortin..Rowe..Gingrich..D & D..and " XCEL ",

Here is where we ranked them.

# 1..By Far....XCEL...

# 2 Rowe

# 3 D & D

# 4 Gingrich

# 5 T & D

# 6 Fortin

XCEL was not the least expensive but put through the best plan, time table, No...repeat..No Money Down...this turned out to be a $ 23,000 contract.
Telephone 352-589-4440..Paul White He is terrific...you will be impressed.

T & D ? Expensive, poor plan, down payment. Would never consider them .

Fortin...Up front non refundable $$$$...Attitude

The rest...various reasons

Thanks for all ofyour information!

We used Rowe and were very pleased. He did a golf cart garage and doubled the Lanai. On time, good price and cleaned up every day. He wasn't the least expensive, however he started the work on time and got it done. I didn't want a project to drag out for months and this one didn't! You can search for him on this forum.

This was the main reason we did NOT use T&D, they quoted 6 weeks for our project which was totally unacceptable, we had it completed in 2 weeks, construction start to final inspection.

I forgot to mention..XCEL Does Not Use "Port-A- Potty's ".. Unlike most contractors, including T & D...Fortin..etc. Not good stuck in front of your house for weeks..
